In huisje Weltevree you are admitted to a stay in a very beautifull and quiet area. Enjoy a continental breakfast with mostly homemade ingrediënts as bread, jam and honey. Possibility of tasting the homemade wine.
Huisje Weltevree is an ideal operation base for walking or bicycle holidays. You start in the middle of the Westflemish and Nord of France hill country, there is even a walking junction at our front door. You can rent our (electrical) bikes.
A savoury bite in bistro/museum " 't Folk" or other gastropub in Dranouter : you can reach it by foot from Huisje Weltevree. In the garden there is a little vineyard, and in the region there are quit a lot of famous vineyards: f.i. The Monteberg. Beer lovers can explore the hop- region of Poperinge or several handicraft brewery's and also 'the best beer of the world: Westvleteren ' is to be found in a radious of 20 km.
One hundred years ago the 'Great War' took place in this region. You can start from here to visit many kinds of war-monuments : In Flanders' field (Ypers), the peace tower in Mesen, Tyne Cot Cemetery in Passchendaele, are only a few examples of the numerous sites in the environment.
